SCHOOL CLOSURES
The latest update for the Hernando County area include mandatory evacuations for all residents west of 19. Although we do not anticipate weather conditions to deteriorate much on Tuesday, we do feel it best to accommodate all families who have to and choose to make decisions for their safety and well being of their families.
In light of this, we have decided to close school effective Tuesday, September 27th, Wednesday, September 28th, Thursday, September 29th, and Friday, September 30th. This will allow families and caregivers to prepare their homes or if necessary evacuate to safer conditions.
As always, we pray for safety and protection over each of our Life Preparatory Students and families, and will continue to post news bulletins here on our website, Facebook, and Classe365. Please monitor your Class365 emails notices, our LPS website and Facebook page for further information.
We have also provided a full preparation and readiness list for your convenience.

Life Preparatory School is closely monitoring Tropical Storm Ian on an hourly basis and will be broadcasting all information on our social media pages and through our parent portal. Currently, classes are in session as per our normal schedule on Monday, September 26th, and as more detailed information comes in, we will give an update at 2:00pm each day.
We encourage parents who may wish to keep their children home to do so, and this will be considered an excused absence.
